ABOUT KIANA
I'm mama to a sweet and spicy two-year-old and a wide-eyed, attention-loving baby, who are my biggest inspirations and muses. They remind me that motherhood is fun and difficult and sweet and messy and beautiful in all of its contrasts, and I do my best to honor all of these "ands" in my images--the coexisting and opposite truths that come along with raising children. I'm drawn to the layers, to the moments in between, and the love that exists freely in all of the chaos.
I know that in a sea of options, it can be hard to find someone you trust to document you & yours and deliver on all that they say they will. So beyond a few fun facts about my favorite foods and places, what I really want you to know about me is that I am wholeheartedly committed to creating authentic, artistic imagery that truly reflects this season of life for you, and I do not take it lightly that you're allowing me to witness your most tender and joyful moments. My sessions are play-based and little-led; it is important to me that you love the experience as much as you love your final gallery.

Hey, I’m Kiana — a people watcher at heart, and therefore a photographer by trade. After having my daughter in 2023, my photography focus shifted from couples & weddings to more families & littles; I had inspiration right in front of me at every hour of the day. I was born and raised here in Kitsap and spent a few years moving throughout Tacoma and Olympia before landing back here with my little family.
My style is part documentary and part editorial, with a focus on the in-between moments that naturally unfold in front of my lens during our time together. I want you to remember these days exactly as they were.

We do things a little differently around here.
offerings
I shoot family and newborn sessions almost exclusively in client homes. In-home sessions are incredibly personal, cozy, and timeless, and often allow littles to relax a bit as they are in a comfortable environment. An experience focused on presence
More than anything, my sessions are designed to feel slow and easy. I want this to be an experience where you can focus on spending quality time with your people instead of trying to perform. You can come as you are, and trust that I'll create true, emotive images of this season of life.
35mm film photography
Traditional film is often offered for weddings but not-as-often for family and newborn sessions, but I wanted to bring that nostalgic, emotive, and timeless quality that feels a little different than digital to your galleries. 35mm film photography, in all of its meaningful and raw beauty, is offered as an add-on to full sessions.

She laughed with us, celebrated with us, jumped with us, talked to Raccoonie and Gus (our kids stuffies) with us...she made us feel so special and important and yet so natural and light. It was honestly one of the best photo sessions we've ever had. And when it was over, it felt too soon and almost sad...like we're done already?
