I'm a Kitsap-based family photographer focused on the in-between moments and the sweet telling of your family's true story. I love to photograph families in their homes, right in the middle of their real, everyday lives, and I design my sessions to feel relaxed, playful, and easy (it's important to me that you not only love my images, but also love the way I capture them). If you're less into awkward poses and more into images that take you back to the days you never want to forget--we're probably a good fit.

My approach is journalistic and emotive, and follows the leads of the littles. I will never demand that your kids smile or pose, I will never ask you to refrain from feeding your newborn until we're done taking photos, and I will never say no to a toddler who needs a snack break (or a pregnant mama who needs any kind of break!) When I say come as you are, I truly mean it, and I want you to not only love your photos, but also love the memory of slowing down and having some time together in front of the camera.

in-home sessions
We do things a little differently around here.
offerings
I shoot family and newborn sessions almost exclusively in client homes. In-home sessions are incredibly personal, cozy, and timeless, and often allow littles to relax a bit as they are in a comfortable environment. An experience focused on presence
More than anything, my sessions are designed to feel slow and easy. I want this to be an experience where you can focus on spending quality time with your people instead of trying to perform. You can come as you are, and trust that I'll create true, emotive images of this season of life.
35mm film photography
Traditional film is often offered for weddings but not-as-often for family and newborn sessions, but I wanted to bring that nostalgic, emotive, and timeless quality that feels a little different than digital to your galleries. 35mm film photography, in all of its meaningful and raw beauty, is offered as an add-on to full sessions.

I'm Kiana Re' (Re' like DoReMiFaSoLa, but you can just call me Kiana). I'm a people watcher at heart, so naturally, a photographer by trade. I think family photography should be less formulaic and rushed - and instead, an opportunity to be lovingly witnessed and artistically documented in a way that truly reflects this season for you. I care deeply about these moments of your life, and I do not take it lightly that you're allowing me to hold them. intimate weddings
It will come as no surprise that I am biased toward weddings in which the couple already has kids. I love seeing the way our littles add to a day that is traditionally incredibly staged and perfectly timed; having my baby at my wedding allowed us to flow through the day with a deeper appreciation for the presence of the people we loved, and without so much focus on trying to make everything "perfect". If you think that approach is the right fit for your day, I'd love to hear from you.
