Presence, power, and anticipation are the focus of my maternity sessions. You are growing life, and that is not a small feat. There is nothing more inherently powerful or beautiful in my eyes, and yet so often I hear moms put maternity photos on the backburner or opt out of them entirely. This is your chance to see yourself the way your children will one day see you — strong, radiant, becoming. Thoughtful, artistic imagery, focused entirely on you and the connection you already have with the sweet baby in your belly.
I care deeply about these moments of your life, and I do not take it lightly that you're allowing me to hold them. I never want you to forget these moments that set the stage for all the good-ness that’s coming.
Family photos have a bad reputation for turning into an hour of fighting hungry toddlers in scratchy outfits and praying everyone's eyes were open for at least one photo. I want to change that by inviting you & yours to show up authentically and focus on connecting with each other, not posing next to each other. I'll take care of the rest.
For mamas-to-be and their partners (and other kiddos, too, if this isn't your first baby!), my signature full maternity session is for slowing down and documenting all of the beauty of this season of life.
Warm, slow, nostalgic goodness. The kinds of images your kids will love finding tucked inside their childhood photo boxes years from now.
COMING SOON. The quintessential PNW experience--ferry frolicking in the Spring and Summer with the people you love. 35mm film included in this comprehensive offer.
A frequently asked question.
kind words
They are SOOO beautiful. I love each and every one so much. You are amazing!
Yes! You'll receive a handful of edited images within 24 hours of your session, because as Daniel Tiger often says, "it's hard to wait".
My primary service areas are Kitsap County and Gig Harbor, but I photograph families up and down the Puget Sound for a small travel fee! If you're not sure whether your location is included, don't hesitate to reach out.
I encourage booking your maternity session to fall around your 32-34 week mark. This is typically when your bump is really bumping, but you're still comfortable enough...well as comfortable as a pregnant woman can be....to move around.
Yes. While 99% of our session will be focused on play and movement, I always prioritize getting a few "formal" portraits with everybody looking at the camera, for good measure.
I recommend scheduling your newborn session in advance, and picking a day that is within 2 weeks of your due date--babies are often the sleepiest during this timeframe, which makes the whole experience a little easier and more relaxed. I offer a totally flexible rescheduling policy if baby arrives earthside early or late or even if you decide you're just not ready for company yet.
I run Holiday Minis on one weekend day in early November, and the first people to hear about them are my email subscribers and Instagram followers. Priority booking will go live in late August for email subscribers, and opens to the public in early September. The event will sell out--so be quick!
My sessions involve no pressure and no posing marathons. We keep things playful and cozy, and I always let the littles take the lead, offering gentle guidance as we move along. I am not here to create a stale and perfect caricature of your family--you deserve more than that--I am a quiet, loving witness to your connection, dynamics, and unique personalities. If you're less into forced smiles and more into photos you can feel, we might be a good fit.
