My pricing always includes your full, unlimited gallery--meaning that I don't upcharge per image, or cap how many you receive back--because I honor your time and effort to be here with me, and I'd never want to withhold all of those sweet shots of the in-between moments. MINI SESSIONS
Offered periodically throughout the year for a limited time, mini sessions are 20 minutes long and an efficient way to get some quick documentation of the season. Mini sessions are limited to three locations in Kitsap, which you'll be able to choose from at time of booking.

WEDDINGS (limited availability)
I take on a small handful of weddings throughout the year, with package options ranging between 2 and 6 hours of coverage, and always including a second shooter! I work best with couples looking for a shorter coverage window who want to have their day captured authentically and naturally, with a focus on all of the in-between moments spent with the people they love; I like to be a quiet background presence following you around as the day unfolds. If, alternatively, you're looking for full-day coverage (8+ hours) or someone with a more posed, directed approach, I'd be happy to send recommendations your way!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
I WANT TO SCHEDULE MATERNITY PHOTOS. HOW MANY WEEKS ALONG SHOULD I BE AT THE TIME OF MY SESSION?
I'm so excited for you! This question can depend on a few factors, but I typically advise first-time mamas to schedule between 30 and 34 weeks--this is often when your bump has become prominent, but not *so* prominent that your mobility is limited and the session feels uncomfortable. Some things to take into consideration:
-If this is your second pregnancy, you're more likely to start showing and go into labor earlier, so you may be inclined to schedule closer to the 30-32 week mark
-Twin pregnancies often = a bigger bump sooner and earlier labor, so you may be inclined to schedule quite a bit earlier
-Some women naturally start showing earlier, so you may be inclined to do your session while you're still feeling great
I'M AWKWARD IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA. HOW DO WE DEAL WITH THAT?
I am too--you're not alone! Luckily, my approach to shooting doesn't depend on how long you can hold a pose or how much you practiced smiling in the mirror before your session, but on how your authentic self naturally presents in the presence of the people you love. I'll give plenty of direction and prompts and then I'll be working quietly behind the scenes to document all that naturally unfolds--so you won't feel like you're just standing around waiting for something to happen. For brands and solo maternity portraits: these sessions do, indeed, require more intentional posing, and the element of relationship dynamics is taken off the table. Instead, we'll hone in on your energy towards your biz or towards the life you're growing, and I'll offer more direction and instruction. Long story short: don't stress. I've got it handled!
WE'VE BEEN SCAMMED BY PHOTOGRAPHERS IN THE PAST--HOW DO WE KNOW WE CAN TRUST YOU?
I hate that I even have to include this here, but I also know that it is real life! If you're not familiar, there has been a recent and extreme uptick in the number of photographers burning their clients--either taking a deposit and never showing up for the session, showing up for the session and never delivering the photos, ghosting clients for months at a time leaving them completely in the dark about the status of their gallery, losing all of the images due to technical failures and refusing to offer a re-shoot...the list goes on. To witness this in the industry is frustrating beyond words, especially as someone who takes the investment of your time, money, and brain space very seriously. Beyond the fact that I care deeply, and could not do something like that to somebody--I want to reassure you that I have a contract process that protects both of us; I use backup equipment for every step of the technical process to reduce the possibility of loss; I'm a thorough communicator, so you'll never be left wondering what's going on; and in general, I'm not a sh*tty person (pardon my french and I promise I won't swear in front of your children). Every client who has hired me thus far has received their gallery. You're next!
ARE WE A GOOD FIT FOR EACH OTHER?
Great question--I hope so! :) I work best with couples, families, and mamas (+soon-to-be-mamas) dreaming of relaxed, cozy imagery that really feels like you. I'm more focused on capturing your dynamic and love authentically than I am focused on getting the perfect, stale shot of everybody awkwardly smiling while staring down my camera lens with slight fear in their eyes (LOL). While we will always get a handful of those "traditional" images for good measure, I am much more committed throughout our session to being a background presence while giving a bit of direction to keep things flowing naturally. My biggest ask of my clients: no grumpy adults! Moms and Dads both need to be on-board and happy to spend time together; and while I have lots of grace for camera shy-ness (me too), I do not work well with grown-ups who are straight-up choosing not to enjoy themselves. This is an opportunity to capture your sweet moments of together-ness, so leave the tantrums and "angry faces" to your littles (that, I can handle!).
I'M READY TO BOOK. WHAT'S THE PROCESS?
Yay! Send me a note via my inquiry form or reach out via DM on Instagram @kianarephoto and we'll start chatting details. Don't worry--I won't demand you tell me your life story, I just need a few pieces of info to get you on my calendar! Once we've landed on a session type, date, and location, I'll send out a contract and invoice for 50% of your total session fee. In the days and weeks leading up to your shoot, I'll be available to help with any planning questions/outfit recommendations/whatever will help to make this as stress-free and fun of an experience as it possibly can be for you. The remaining 50% of your invoice will be due three days before your session. We'll show up the day of and have a great time--then keep your eye on your email for sneak peeks within 48 hours, and your full gallery back within 2 weeks!
MY CHILD DOESN'T SIT STILL FOR PHOTOS. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
Neither does mine. In fact, I found out she had learned how to run during family photos at the park when she took off mid-shot. Don't stress--we're not here to capture a caricature of your kids' love and joy, we're here to tell the story of exactly who they are, right in this moment. And no matter how many times they go running off on their own adventures, you're still going to end up with a gallery of authentic images you want to hang on your walls.
